Chess
Our school offers chess club to support student learning. We participate in interschool competitions and enter our teams into state competitions too.
About Chess
Our chess club meets once a week at lunchtime, providing students with a fun and engaging opportunity to develop their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. The club is a vibrant community where students of all skill levels come together to enjoy the timeless game of chess.
We are proud to participate in various interschool competitions throughout the year and have recently achieved great success in state-level tournaments, showcasing the talent and dedication of our students.
Chess club also plays an important role in supporting our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) students, particularly in developing their intellectual abilities. Engaging in chess helps enhance concentration, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, which benefit students both academically and personally.
Joining chess club is a wonderful way for students to challenge themselves, build confidence, and cultivate friendships in a stimulating and supportive environment. We welcome all students who wish to sharpen their minds and experience the many rewards of this classic game.
