Debating

Our school offers debating to support student learning. Our debating groups participate in school, local and state events throughout the year.

About debating

Each year our school asks for nominations from the students for the school debating team. Each team consists of around 6 students. Our students participate in local championships and workshops where they learn how a debate works, what a rebuttal is, how to form arguments, what the speakers' roles are, as well as a few games and activities.

If we are successful in our local competitions we move onto regional and state championships too.
