Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
It is with great pride I welcome you to Jannali East Public School.
In selecting our school for your child you have chosen a highly sought after, growing community school with a friendly, happy and dynamic learning environment, where all students work towards achieving their personal best.
Our school strives for academic, cultural and sporting excellence, offering varied and interesting curricula to all students. There is specific focus on the development of literacy, numeracy, technology and student wellbeing. Our classrooms all have interactive whiteboards, and we have two video conferencing suites and a technology lab.
Quality teaching combined with state of the art facilities engage students in visually rich learning. Students are connected to the wider world without leaving their school, which is surrounded by beautiful natural bush.
We believe every child has the right to feel happy, safe and confident in their learning environment. Our school has a strong commitment to the welfare of all students and our welfare practices form the foundation for lifelong learning.
Programs such as crunch and sip, peer support, child protection, drug education, bounce back, positive behaviour for learning, restorative practice and social skills development all support students' mental and physical wellbeing so that other learning can effectively take place. We expect our students to be safe, respectful learners.
Our dedicated and enthusiastic team of teachers and support staff work together to provide quality teaching and learning opportunities for all students. A strong partnership between home and school is fostered and this is reflected in our school's core values: care, respect, fairness, integrity, cooperation and self confidence.
On behalf of our school community I again welcome you and hope the following information will be useful in helping you and your child on their learning journey. We look forward to a long and happy association with your family.
Nicole Gilmore, Acting Principal of Jannali East Public School
