Our school library is the resource centre of the school.
All students are encouraged to develop a love of literature and become enthusiastic borrowers. All classes visit the library weekly and are instructed in information literacy by the teacher librarian. They use various technologies to explore literacy and work on the research components of class learning programs.
Our teacher librarian is present Tuesdays through to Fridays. Teachers take their classes to the library to borrow on these days.
To borrow books, each child must have a library bag, clearly marked with their name and class, to protect the books they wish to borrow. All students benefit from being read to by parents and older siblings.
